Salsa Shines con Laura /// Saturday, April 26th: 4:00-5:30pm - This is an open-level dance class covering footwork patterns, arm styling, rhythm and musicality, and a short choreography. In salsa and other Latin dances, the term “shines” refers to solo dance exercises and combinations. While these are practiced individually in this class, you can use them when you’re out social dancing. No partner is needed for this class, but you can definitely bring your bestie!

New to salsa? This class can be a great introduction to the basic footwork, common turns, and different body frameworks for varied Latin dances. Have experience with salsa? Come anyway to practice posture, increase timing, and enhance styling! No matter your background, the goal remains the same: exploring more tools for self-expression and connection!

*A NOTE ON OUR business model*

With our profit-sharing business model, NK STUDIOS provides a space for creatives to offer uplifting classes to our community in a way that is financially sustainable. We do not operate on a pay-per-hour model. When you attend a class, the majority of your payment goes to the instructor. Our rates reflect the experience of our instructors, the time & energy required to create & teach epic classes, as well as the costs associated with running an arts-based brick & mortar in a small town. Thank you for supporting us by attending class & bringing your friends! We love to see you & are excited to foster more dance, art, movement, and community in the Gorge.
